Hill Country ECS - Research & Consulting
Are you an aspiring writer?
Hill Country ECS is a publisher of electronic books (e-books). Currently, we are seeking
submissions from aspiring writers desiring to break into publishing.
Topic areas we are interested in include:
students and/or their families, we'd love to see it. Writers should send a detailed synopsis (2
to 5 pages describing the intended audience, the purpose of the work, and a general
description of he content), the first three chapters and the final chapter of your manuscript via
email as an attached file (*.doc or *.rtf format) to hillcountryecs@yahoo.com (place
"Submission" in the subject line).
Because we are an e-publisher, all of our work is done electronically. We do not accept paper
submissions. Please be sure your submission has been thoroughly self-edited (and we
highly recommend having frank critique partners look at it!), and has been proofread by
someone other than yourself. It should also be free of typos and grammatical errors.
We do not specify a required format and your manuscript will not be rejected due to formatting.
We suggest using one-inch margins, 1.5 line spacing, and a variable-space, easy to read font
(such as Times Roman, Arial, Book Antiqua).
We will consider works published elsewhere if the work you are submitting to us is a revision
(second or later edition) and you can prove you currently hold exclusive rights to the work. We
will also consider out-of-print books if you can provide proof that you hold exclusive rights to the
work.
No manuscript will be considered that is in any way demeaning to an individual or group of
people.
We use a standard publishing contract. We do not provide payment in advance of sales.
Published writers receive 40 percent of all actual sales proceeds (i.e. if your work retails for
$4.95, you would receive $1.98 per sale). Hill Country ECS payments are made quarterly.
